The UCSB Running Series presented by Citrix Online is set to take the Santa Barbara community by storm in 2011. Set on the beautiful UCSB campus, the series will include individual competition, team scoring and 1K Kids Races. Save money and register as a team! Pricing for teams are $15 for each UCSB Student Runner, $20 for all others. All entry fees are non-refundable. Additional $5 per person for day of event registration.
Runners that sign up for all three races receive a $5 discount on the total cost of the series.
Series Scoring
Participants in the UCSB Running Series will compete for both the overall UCSB Running Series Championship (Male and Female) along with the follow Divisional Championships.

You must finish a minimum of two (2) races to qualify for series division awards. To be the overall UCSB Running Series Champion (both Male and Female), you must finish all three races. We will take all of your points acquired during the three races for total points and awards. In the event of a tie, we will settle the tiebreaker by comparing times at the Gaucho Gallop.
Team Scoring
In addition to the individual competition, we have a team competition for each race. Grab a group of friends/co-workers/family and compete for the glory! In order to create a team, you will need at least five runners (maximum of 9).
Save money, register as a team!. We have discounted the registration price for Team Members to $15 for UCSB Students and $20 for all others. Teams will be scored by taking the combined time of their top five finishers. There are four team categories: Male (have at least four male scoring members), Female (have all scoring members composed of females), Co-ed (have at least two scoring members of each sex) and Greek (composed of members of an individual fraternity or sorority at UCSB). As a member of a team, not only will you be running for team supremacy, you will also be automatically entered in the individual competition. We have discounted the registration for team runners to $20 per person, regardless of your individual Division (UCSB Student, UCSB Alumni, UCSB Faculty/Staff, General Public). So get out there, form your team, design your race outfits, devise your strategy and get ready to take on other teams in the UCSB Running Series.

Prizes
The overall champion of the UCSB Running Series (Male and Female) will win the following:
* $50 Gift Card from the Santa Barbara Running Company
* Photo in the Santa Barbara Independent
* Complimentary entry into the 2012 UCSB Running Series with the coveted #1 and #2 race bibs for all three races
* Two complimentary passes to the UCSB Vintners Wine Tasting on April 30, 2011.

The Fine Print
All courses are subject to change due to circumstances beyond the control of Event Management. This includes dates, times and trails used.
Transfers - If for some reason, you are unable to attend, you can transfer your entry to another event or another person for a $10 transfer fee. Please click on the links below for the correct transfer form. These forms must be received 8 days prior to the event date. NOTE: There are NO REFUNDS. If an event is postponed due to 'acts of god' i.e. fires, floods, storms, terrorism, your entry will be forwarded to the re-scheduled race date. If this does not work in your schedule, we apologize in advance, but it's tough to work with everyone's schedule.
