Romeo's Run & Relay feature both an individual 4 mile race (2 loops) and a 4 mile couples relay. Runners will navigate a mixed course of asphalt and dirt while circling the UCSB Lagoon. Views of campus and the ocean abound along with ample wildlife. This event will happen rain or shine!

Early Packet Pick-Up & Late Registration

If you register before January 27th, 2011 online or through the mail, you may pick up your packet at Santa Barbara Running Company's Goleta store located at 129 N. Fairview Ave, Goleta, CA 93117, tel: 805-964-6700, on Friday, January 28th, 12pm to 6pm. Packet pick up and late registration will also be available race day at the UCSB Lagoon from 7:30am until the start of the race.

Dash Make sure to stick around for the free "G Kids" Dash sponsored by UCSB Athletics. Kids ages up to 12 will be led out by Ole, the official Gaucho mascot, on a 1 km. course. Ribbons will be provided to all finishers. Race Schedule
  • 7:30am: Day of Event Registration opens
  • 9:00am: Individual 4 mile race
  • 10:00am: Couples Relay
  • 10:45am: Awards (including the "Maillot Jaune" presentation) + 1K Kids Dash
Race Location All races start and finish at UCSB's Lagoon Lawn on the south side of the University Center. Directions View UCSB Map
Traveling from the South:
Take the 101 Freeway to Airport/UCSB exit (Highway 217) approximately eight miles north of Santa Barbara to the entrance of campus (you will pass underneath the Henley Gate). Take a right at the roundabout and travel along Mesa Road. Turn left at your third light (the campus Recreation Center will be kitty corner to you) to come onto Ocean Road. Take your first available right and then your first left (soft left) to follow Ocean Road. Enter into Parking Lot #22 (volunteers will be on hand to provide parking passes).

Traveling From the North on the 101 Freeway:
Take the Storke Road/Glen Annie Road exit off U.S. 101 (approximately twelve miles north of Santa Barbara). Turn right on Storke Road and proceed two miles to El Colegio Road. Turn left on El Colegio Road and proceed to the campus West Gate entrance. Take a right onto Ocean Road and then a left into Parking Lot #22 (volunteers will be on hand to provide parking passes). 2010 Race Action
